During a rebranding pitch I developed a concept, how to transform Frankfurts cultural program "Museumsufer" into a more modern and digital one.
Since I am living in Frankfurt I had a close relation to the city itself and knew the museum association pretty well from previous visits. Although the Museumsufer has two millions visitor every year they don't have a strong and clear digital platform for tourists.

The MuseumsuferTicket allows visitors to enter 38 museums in the Frankfurt area. Nevertheless the current ticket is mainly a printed object. The current application was unfortunately pretty outdated and not informative enough for the user.
How might be possible to unify the ticket and allow an intuitive opportunity to plan your day on the Museumsufer?
Whether it is the website, application or the printed ticket – in the first step it was necessary to make sure what is important to the visitors. In the next step I looked for further opportunities and improve the status quo.
For the website it was important to structure the content clearer and make it possible to get all the important informations for a trip to the "Museumsufer" as easy as possible. Since the Ticket allows you admission to almost forty museums it is crucial to get a quick overview how to plan your day as a tourist.
Back then the application for the "Museumsufer" was pretty limited in his features and not up to date about the latest exhibitions and events. The user was losing himself rather than be guided through an intuitive and simple experience.
Furthermore I developed the idea to connect the printed ticket with the application. The user should be able to use his ticket as a bookmark in the museums. Thereby it is possible to learn more about certain topics he found during his visits.
I consciously cut with the old design of the application and create a contemporary version of it. I refined existing features and also kept working ones. The main goal was to strengthen the association with a reworked concept and by this allow users a great journey through the city.
