Working directly with the type 1 diabetes community, Gluco is a product ecosystem designed to alleviate anxiety in daily life. A familiar, yet completely new, user experience that empowers people by enabling them to accomplish their task easily when they need it and remaining unobtrusive when they don’t.
Gluco was guided through strong research and relationships built with the Type 1 community. After initial research on type 1 diabetes, we conducted user interviews with a diverse range of people – from athletes to mothers. We then conducted benchmark analysis and used the PACT analysis framework to understand the context. The MoSCoW method was then used to prioritize and scope the project. Thereafter, we created personas, explored key user journeys and established design principles that guided our decision making through the process.
After creating an early prototype, we conducted user tests directly with people who have type 1 diabetes.
